About Me

Jennifer Sherer is an award-winning producer and actress based in Los Angeles. Her love of filmmaking was born from a high school Spanish class, and her love of acting from an ingrained need for attention. She continued fostering her skills in front of and behind the camera while attending UCLA, where she earned a degree in neuroscience with minors in film and theatre.

She has experience producing features, TV pilots, and short films, many of which have won awards and found distribution. Her most recent TV pilot, CVNT, is premiering at Tribeca in June where she has also been invited to pitch the series as a co-creator at the Creators Market.

Jennifer's greatest passion is championing underrepresented voices in film, with a particular love for female-focused stories and women directors. She thrives on helping bold, authentic projects find their audience, from the first pitch meeting to a successful festival run. When she's not making movies, you can find her at a hockey game (Go Kings Go!), snuggling her husband and three cats, or scoping out her next good meal.

A young woman with brown hair, glasses, and a light pink jacket is sitting on the floor next to a bed, smiling at the camera. She has a walkie-talkie clipped to her pants. There are bags and school supplies around her, and she is wearing sneakers and floral-patterned pants. The bed has white sheets and pillows, and the wall behind shows a framed painting of a boy in a room with a bed and curtain. The room has a green rug, the floor has blue, green, and black carpeting, and there is a window with white curtains.
